Einai Sasa's First Movie Ever

'Alumina' was released on March 15th, 2017 as a Home Video Movie and is the first movie ever made by Einai Sasa, the director of 'Winged', and it is also the first live action movie ever made by him. The film never released to the public but may get a release in the future. It has no rating.

The official synopsis goes as follows:

A survivor of a doomed ship tells a story about what life was like before the catastrophe.

The film is 58 minutes and 16 seconds long. It has absolutely no script or screenplay whatsoever and there is no music to the film. There are also no end credits. Though there is a title sequence, which is the picture shown above. There are no computer generated characters in this film, only toys and action figures were used as characters for this movie. It may be highly cringey for viewers should it ever release to the public. It was an inspired version of James Cameron's 1997 movie, 'Titanic' which broke box office records at the time.

Official ALUMINA Movie Review:

I just got done watching ALUMINA for the very first time in years and I must say, I thought it was going to be badly cringey, but I was quite pleasantly surprised at the outcome! The key point I notice through both movies of ALUMINA and WINGED is that the set design goes super hard and is outstanding. Then secondly you have the editing. After watching this movie and WINGED, I have come to the realization and belief that Einai Sasa's strengths lie in the art of Set Design and Editing. While these aspects may still not be perfect, the effort is clearly shown in both of the motion pictures and it was very wonderful to say the least, as well as impressive.

ALUMINA is a pure story about a person who meets a wonderful friend that teaches him to be bold and brave. The protagonist's name is Steve, and so is his twin brother, the main antagonist (I know funny right?) The twins do not see eye to eye on the ill-fated ship going to Australia.

All in all, though this movie still had some cringe to it. It was a cringe that was fun hearted and light hearted all in one. It was a cringe that made you giggle and smile and even break out in laughter. Though WINGED may be considered Einai Sasa's debut public movie, it is actually ALUMINA that was his first ever feature film. I also find it very interesting that both films were released in March with WINGED being released 10 days after ALUMINA in the month. This means that they are both Winter films and Winter movies. I wonder if Sasa will keep that streak with his next upcoming film and if so when it will happen...

The budget for this movie is not officially known but there are estimations of it being around just $50 dollars. As opposed to WINGED's more expensive budget of at least around $560 dollars.

I am not sure whether ALUMINA will ever get a public release, as it was meant to be a Home Movie. However, seeing and witnessing Einai Sasa's very beginning in the art of moviemaking not only touches my heart, but excites me enough to wonder and see what is in store for the future. I can't wait for WINGED 2!
